Jude Asiedu, an alumnus of the 2015 edition of Project iSWEST led a team of high school students from the Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School (PRESEC) to win Gold Prize at the High School Category of the MTN Apps Challenge version 4.0 plus a cash prize of GHS 3,000.

Jude’s team pitched RedButton at the finals of the competition. RedButton is a smartphone app that allows users to quickly contact emergency service providers such as the ambulance and police in case of an emergency.

RedButton was conceived and prototyped by Jude’s team (Team YIM) at Project iSWEST 2015 and won that year’s pitch contest. We are particulary excited that Jude continued to develop the app after Project iSWEST.
