Our President, George Boateng presented a paper on SuaCode at the Computer Science Education Research Conference (CSERC) 2019 in Larnaca, Cyprus in November 2019. The SuaCode paper titled “Keep Calm and Code on Your Phone: A Pilot of SuaCode, a Smartphone-based Online Coding Course” showed that SuaCode’s smartphone-based curriculum can effectively introduce fundamental coding concepts via an online course. The paper will be officially published online by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) in 2020. This work is a key piece of our plan to teach millions across the African continent to code using their smartphones.
